The society has welcomed a series of prominent economists, authors, politicians, policymakers and leading business people from our sponsors.

In the past we have hosted Nobel Prize winner John Nash, Economic Historian, Lord Skidelsky, author of ‘The
Undercover Economist’, Tim Harford and former Governor of the Bank of England, Lord Mervyn King.

We also interviewed Huw Pill, Chief Economist of the Bank of England, during which he described inflation as a ‘wicked problem.’

This highlights how we strive to ensure that our members can apply their degree knowledge to current economic
discussions.
