Through our Mentor Scheme Launch, ‎we matched new first year students with second and third year students who have the same interests and backgrounds outside of Economics. Be that sport, arts or the type of school they went to, through this “buddy scheme” we made settling into Warwick a much easier and simpler process for new students. With over 300 members attending our Mentor Scheme Launch at the Copper Rooms at Warwick SU, the society provided free drinks and an informal social environment for students to chat and chill out after lectures. Since then the Society has had numerous sell out social events with the Fox and Vivian, and Loose Box (which sold out 300 tickets in under 36 hours) as well as joint socials: a Pub Crawl with the PPE society and the Society Cup, a social with 3 other societies. The social highlights of the year were however, the Tours to Manchester and Barcelona.
